The kitchen offers a fully equipped kitchen and the dining area has a table that seats four with room for two more at the bar. The main living area features a sectional sleeper sofa, a fireplace, cable, TV/ DVD/VCR, and a broadband Internet connection. The deck is equipped with a ceiling fan, holds a patio set for four, and provides a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake. Small pets (under 15 lbs.) are welcome.
The ground floor location offers quick and convenient access to the pool and the slips, two of the most prominent amenities. The pool is situated on a point and offers a spectacular panoramic view. There are guest boat slips available to those guests who bring their boat or rent one locally. Adjacent to the dock/boat slip area there’s a dedicated swimming area and a floating platform that permits easy boarding for boaters and jet skiers. Other amenities include tennis, basketball, gas grills, and well-manicured walking paths throughout.
A nearby marina offers boat ramp and just around the “corner” from our condominium is The Cliffs, perhaps the most unique gathering spot for boaters on the entire lake. Nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway, the National D-day Memorial, the Peaks of Otter, the Smith Mountain Lake dam, and the Farmer’s Market in Roanoke. “Blackwater Retreat” is twenty-five minutes from both Rocky Mount and the Westlake Corner shopping district and is just over an hour from Roanoke.
